What “flat” means
Bobo Choses measures each garment laid flat — across one side, not around. To compare it to your child, the flat figure roughly doubles: a 15″ flat chest is about a 30″ garment measured around. The helper below does that doubling for you.
How Bobo Choses fits
Read from the figures Bobo Choses publishes, it is cut roomy. Its smallest kid top, the 2-3Y, measures 15.6″ flat — about 31.1″ around — against a chest of roughly 20–21″ at that age. That is close to ten inches of room. So buying the size that matches your child’s real age is usually right, and a piece tends to last more than one season. If you want a trimmer line, sizing down is the lever — it is the room, not the length, that is generous.

Open the size guide on the Bobo Choses product you are looking at and copy its flat figures in here. It is per product on purpose — Bobo Choses publishes a different table for each style, so one stored table would be wrong as often as right.
Waists are elastic and measured relaxed, so the real room at the waist is a little more than the number suggests. Length and sleeve are worth checking on the guide too — this compares girth only.
